As artists we constantly engage in dramaturgical acts. Dramaturgy is the careful implementation of dramaturgical acts from a scholarly perspective. To be a dramatug is to engage in deep thought on a given production and offer guidance on how a scholarly approach might enhance an audience’s experience of a production.
